This morning Nintendo has stated that they will include a ‘Battle Royale’ mode to Mario Kart this weekend.

Shigeru Miyamoto stated, “This is a new wave that has gained tons of popularity. We decided to join, after plenty of thought. I believe this will be a good addition to the game, something new for the players.’

Such an addition should prove to be an interesting aspect of the game, but until the weekend we’ll have to wait and see how it unfolds.
