After the live episode, Speak the Truth asked Acosta about whether he thought he could still pursue a career in business for the Trumps after Trump condemned him with the fatal words “You’re Fired.” Acosta stated that although the show’s ratings were high today, his career and chances of winning “The Apprentice: White House Edition” were “as nonexistent as the President’s tax returns.” Trump responded to Acosta’s remarks by stating that “the fake news media are always going to fake the news, they’re fake, and they’re news. It’s what they do. I’ll have to tell Vlad about this confrontation.”
